Things To Do with Your Dog

Fairgrounds Dog Park

Treat your dog to playtime with other playmates at the Dog Park. Part of the Fairgrounds Park, the dog park is a fenced in area adjacent to Loveland's Recreation Trail and the Big Thompson River. Hike the paved trail with Poochie, let him cool off in the river, and run free with other dogs at the Dog Park. Open 6am - 10:30pm daily, with direct access and parking from Fire Engine Red Rd. off of S. Railroad Ave.

Shopping with Fido

Loveland loves dogs! We realize that for so many of us, our pets are just four-legged furry members of our family, and people often travel with their pets. We have numerous stores (like PetSmart!) and restaurants where dogs are welcome. Due to the state health code, pets are banned from being inside retail food establishments, but many restaurants offer patio seating where pets are allowed. The list on the right offers many stores where dogs are allowed. Please always ask first before bringing your well-behaved dog into a store.

Hiking

Most local trails allow pets, requiring pets to remain leashed while on the path. Please check with each park/open space for particular regulations for bringing your pet.

Please note that when visiting Rocky Mountain National Park, pets are allowed in the park if on a leash at all times; however pets are not allowed on the trails.

Doggie Day Care

We know you love your pet, but sometimes when traveling you need to spend a day away from your pet. Loveland has several Doggie Daycare options for Fido.

Pet Boarding

We have several places here in town that offer boarding services.
